Sunday sermonette

The Bible says in Romans 13:1, “Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.” NASB.After reading this this morning I’ve come to the conclusion that as a once Godly nation, America has gotten what it deserves for an administration. For way too long our country has been torn between the lesser of two evils. The Dems on the left with their, “If it feels good, do it.” attitude about everything from abortion to welfare, education, ad infinitum. On the other hand we’ve also been beset or, more precisely, set upon by the Reps. who claim to be conservative, yet have no clear cut definition of what conservative really means.Where are those who step forward and say, “Thus far have you gone, no further shall you go!?” Few in leadership roles in our country have the true “stones” to make a viable stand for the truth. The entire populous has gotten lackadaisical about everything in America. You can see it in TV, news, even Churches. Our society has gotten very selfish. Everyman for himself. “If you don’t like it you can go to hell.” This is the prevailing thought process of most people. The only answer of course would be a massive return to God by the masses. Sadly, most in America don’t even care, as long as they’re left alone to pursue their survival. It’s becoming sadly that. No one’s even concerned about “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” It’s just leave me alone so I can survive. The Bible also says,(paraphrased), “In the last days there will be false messiahs, and many antiChrists (many who are against Christ) as opposed to “the” antiChrist who ushers in those last days.” In my mind, those last days are rushing at us at an awesome pace.
